Looking at a Kubota L185 with 3100 hours on it. It is 20 years old. If it was maintained properly, how much life might be left and any idea on the cost of rebuilding the motor.Thanks for any help.

Before I purchaced my Kubota, I asked the same question and the answer most often given was 5000 hrs before rebuild. The lowest anyone said was 4000 hrs and some claimed 6 to 8000 hrs. Good luck. ....

Word most often heard for average engine life before rebuild seems to be around 5,000. Of course it can and will vary greatly depending on care and usage of tractor. good luck! ....
